Where do you publish from?
From our office window we can see the sky that rolls over Edinburgh and Bonnie Scotland. It's possible to see the tops of trees, some rooftops, and occasionally airplanes fly overhead on their way to the Continent.
Who publishes The Ranfurly Review?
The e-zine is published by Smashing Press, a small publishing house owned, and run, by Colin Galbraith, himself a published author and poet.
Why do you only publish fiction and poetry?
Because that's what we like to read. Once this venture stops becoming enjoyable for the editors it's bound to reflect in the quality of the e-zine, so we plan to stick to what we know best.
We are hoping to be able to include photographic art in the future.
Please see the submissions page for full details.
Why don't you pay contributors?
Simply because we do not charge our readers. If that balance ever changes we might be able to offer monetary compensation. As it stands, we hope the byline you will receive in our publication will satisfy you.
We are a non-profit e-zine so that we remain non-exclusive.
If you are still not satisfied with this arrangement, please feel free to make a small contribution to any of the following charities to which The Ranfurly Review is connected:
CancerBACUP
Epilepsy Scotland
Shelter Scotland
Where does the name Ranfurly Review come from?
The Ranfurly Review is named after a small area of the Scottish village the Chief Editor grew up in. Ranfurly, (Rann Feņirling in Gaelic), is a small settlement within the village of Bridge of Weir in Renfrewshire.
